NCMPR Gold Medallion: Excellence in Higher Education Video

The National Council for Marketing & Public Relations (NCMPR) Medallion Awards recognize outstanding achievement in communications at community and technical colleges across specific districts. AdPro proudly won Gold in the Television/Video Paid Advertisement series category.

We partnered with Pikes Peak State College (PPSC) to develop the impactful “Career Video Series.” This targeted campaign highlighted specific, high-demand academic pathways: Behavioral Health, Cybersecurity, and Engineering. The primary goal was to deploy creative promotions that resonated deeply with prospective students while communicating the long-term value of these programs.

By utilizing high-quality visuals and concrete messaging, we successfully translated complex educational offerings into highly engaging content. This project highlights our ability to execute complex communications strategies for institutional clients.

New Mexico State Fair: Winning the Mega Fair Division

The New Mexico State Fair (NMSF) competed in Division 4, representing mega fairs with 500,001 to 1 million attendees. Partnering closely with the NMSF team, we developed creative promotions that drove measurable attendance.

Our collaborative efforts resulted in a massive sweep at the Western Fairs Association (WFA) Awards, which recognize innovation and creative management across the Western US and Canada. The top WFA honors included:

  • 1st Place: Overall Fair Marketing Campaign
  • 1st Place: Outdoor Advertising (Billboards)
  • 1st Place: Creative Promotions to Combat Inflation
  • 1st Place: Television Ad Series
  • 2nd Place: TV Ad & Radio Ad (Foreign Language)

In addition to dominating the WFA, our campaign for NMSF secured distinct honors on the international stage at the IAFE Awards:

  • 2nd Place: Radio

Securing 1st place at the WFA for “Creative Promotions to Combat Inflation” specifically demonstrates our capacity to pivot messaging based on real-world economic factors, highlighting family affordability and value.

Colorado State Fair: WFA and IAFE Domination

The momentum continued with our campaign for the Colorado State Fair (CSF). It is important to note that CSF competed in Division 3 (250,001–500,000 attendees). Because they were evaluated in separate attendance divisions, CSF and NMSF did not compete directly against each other, making the wins for both clients uniquely meaningful.

For the Colorado State Fair, AdPro’s strategic execution secured 1st place in 14 distinct categories at the WFA Awards. Notable WFA highlights included:

The Strategy Behind the Trophies: Collaboration and Omnichannel Execution

Winning awards is a byproduct of executing solid fundamentals alongside great clients. The strategy behind these massive state fair victories was not strictly digital. In fact, our success relied heavily on traditional advertising, expansive Out-of-Home (OOH) billboard networks, broadcast television, and terrestrial radio.

When developing creative promotions for major events, we map out the entire customer journey in the physical world first. A potential visitor might see a winning billboard on the interstate, hear a Spanish-language radio ad, and later receive a supplemental ad through our digital marketing services. This cross-channel synergy only happens through tight, transparent collaboration with our client partners. We listened to the specific needs of the state fairs and adapted our media mix accordingly.
